Greetings!
We are still very much celebrating women this month, and this time we were able to bring someone new to the forefront of our blog. Well two new someones. Our Co-Founder, Graphic Designer, Creative Dir. and more, Omega, took the time to tell us who inspires her this month while celebrating women in history.
Hello, Omega! We;come to Red Ink Publications 'Women in Literature'.
Omega: Hey, thank you so very much for having me.
The pleasure is ours, now we won't bore you with small talk
Let's get to the topic at hand. Who would you say inspires you the most?
Omega: Well I'm really pleased and honored to not only personally know my inspiration but I get to work for her every single day. My inspiration is Aminah Iman
That's only the most beautiful thing we've ever heard. Now is it only in writing that Aminah inspires you or is it other apsects in your life?
Omega: In a lot of what I do, even now, as I continously evolve I see her in my growth personally and in writing. When I write, I'll go to her and say 'Can you read this over' because she'll always tell me how to get better as much as she celebrates me. The same thing goes for personal accomplishments.
Squad goals? We think yes. If you ever had a chance to meet her, what would be the first thing you'd say?
Omega: Haha well since I see her every day I think the first thing I'd say is 'Hey lady, how are you?"
We knew that. Psh. What would you say is she wanted to be your BFF?
Omega: I consider her and I to be extremely close so I'd probably say something along the lines of 'Wear a jacket." She'd get it, it's an insider thing.
We'll be needing the 'deets about that later, no doubt. What's the biggest lesson she has taught you?
Omega: Mm..that's a toughy. Probably that fear and hope can't occupy in the same space. That you have to let one drive you, and do you really want it to be the one that scares you? Even with writing, I'll think 'This isn't right, this is weird. I can't do this' and hear those words.
Wise words, A. We're only tearing up because it's time to go. Trust us. Thank you Omega, again and that you all for reading. Who inspires you during #WomensHistoryMonth?
